The three-day "National Youth Model United Nations Winter Camp" successfully concluded in Shanghai.
Organized by the premium international education brand Youshine Education and officially authorized by USFUCA (U.S. Federation of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations), this particular event attracted hundreds of outstanding middle school students from across the country, who engaged in an academically profound and practically significant Model UN experience.
Centered on the pressing theme of "Global Employment Challenges in the AI Era", the winter camp facilitated in-depth discussions within a simulated UN conference framework, exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on employment and corresponding national strategies.
Participants were randomly assigned to represent one of five countries—Brazil, Russia, the United States, Austria, and India. They engaged in policy research, debate, negotiation, document drafting, and voting, all conducted bilingually in both Chinese and English, thereby comprehensively honing their critical thinking, bilingual communication, and teamwork skills.
On the final day, delegates submitted a "Draft Resolution on Global Employment Security in the AI Era" and participated in English-only debates to seek support from alliance members. After multiple rounds of amendments and voting, the draft proposed by the Brazilian delegation was passed with an overwhelming majority. Key recommendations included the "Establishment of an International AI Ethics Committee" and a "Global Skills Retraining Fund," reflecting the younger generation’s thoughtful consideration of the balance between technology and society.
As a benchmark institution dedicated to high-end international education, Youshine Education has consistently committed to the philosophy of "Learning through Practice, Growing through Action." All participants received USFUCA-certified certificates, which will enhance their eligibility for future international exchange programs. Through such initiatives, Youshine Education aims to help students achieve breakthroughs in three core areas:
Academic Competence: Master independent research methodologies, from investigation to writing.
Global Perspective: Develop an understanding of international issues and cross-cultural awareness.
Leadership: Cultivate diplomatic skills and leadership qualities through debate and negotiation.
